Mercedes Brake Service in Cary, NC

I’m Dave Garcia, owner and master technician at Hyperformance Garage. Mercedes brakes are straightforward work when they are done right: measure everything, replace what is actually worn with genuine Mercedes-Benz parts, and road test the car before it leaves. You get a written quote with the problem, the fix, and the cost before I start. Tell me what your Mercedes is doing and I will give you a firm price and a firm timeline with your written quote.

My process

  1. I inspect the brakes and measure pad thickness and rotor condition. I do not guess; the numbers decide what gets replaced.
  2. You get a written quote before any work starts: the problem, the fix, and the cost, spelled out.
  3. I replace the worn components with genuine Mercedes-Benz parts, clean and lubricate the hardware, and torque everything to spec.
  4. I road test the car to confirm the pedal feels right and the car stops straight and quiet.
  5. You get a written report with photos of the measurements and the work done.

FAQ

How do I know my Mercedes needs brakes?

The usual signs are a squeal when you brake, a vibration through the pedal or steering wheel, or a brake warning on the dash. I measure everything before I quote, so you are not paying for a guess.

Do the rotors have to be replaced with the pads?

Not always. I measure rotor thickness and condition. If they are within spec and the surface is true, they stay. If they are below spec or warped, I replace them and show you why.

What parts do you use?

Genuine Mercedes-Benz parts: pads, rotors, and sensors. Your written report lists everything that went into the car.

What about brake fluid?

Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point. I check its condition and exchange it when it is due. It is straightforward, routine work.

Is brake work covered by your warranty?

Qualifying repairs are backed by my 24-month/24,000-mile warranty, in writing, on the invoice.
