FAQ
How do I know my BMW needs brakes?
The usual signs are a squeal when you brake, a vibration through the pedal or steering wheel, or a brake warning on the dash. I measure everything before I quote, so you are not paying for a guess.
Do the rotors have to be replaced with the pads?
Not always. I measure rotor thickness and condition. If they are within spec and the surface is true, they stay. If they are below spec or warped, I replace them and show you why.
What about brake fluid?
Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point. I check its condition and exchange it when it is due. It is straightforward, routine work.
Is brake work covered by your warranty?
Qualifying repairs are backed by my 24-month/24,000-mile warranty, in writing on the invoice.
What does your free quote include?
I inspect the brakes, tell you what is actually worn, and give you the price before any work starts. Diagnosis is part of the quote. There is no separate diagnostic fee.
